Pass The Salt & Pepper
Salt and pepper caramels. Slightly salty caramel with the smooth sting of freshly ground black pepper. I envisioned a perfectly golden square with a landscape of salt and pepper, a very happy ending. Thanks to my good friend Angie for the great photo above, check out her site: Ang Snaps

Rum Is The Key
What better than to have an edible perfume? Tweaking and testing an old pre-dessert with an aromatic twist. Basil, lemon and rosemary with a passion fruit daiquiri perfume. Passion fruit aroma, water and white rum. The final touch sprayed table side.

Determination
Determination. The fuel that drives the driven to their goals and dreams. It is the difference between the weak and the strong. A cook works day in and day out, not for a hefty paycheck or their name on the sign, but for the satisfaction of doing their craft. Everyday is a lesson learned and lesson appreciated.
While most cooks are proud to work with their chef, I am even more proud to work next to mine. To be involved with someones future, talent and determination is the greatest feeling achieved day in and day out.
This is an amazing industry with amazing talents and I am very lucky to be apart of it all.

Best Buddies
Best Buddies is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing friends and jobs for people with intellectual disabilities. I am lucky to know an amazing buddy, mine in fact; Andrew. I have participated in Best Buddies Virginia for the past two years, my favorite and most meaningful event of the year. Andrew and I will be walking in the Best Buddies Friendship walk on May 14th. We are trying to raise as many donations as we can for Andrew and everyone invovled with this amazing organization. Please make a donate and support the Best Buddies Friendship Walk and make a difference in the life of a person with an intellectual or developmental disability! I am honored to be his buddy and hope you will spread the word and help.
